Terms & Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Merit Sparrow Study Abroad Consultancy (“Merit Sparrow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our services, including but not limited to university admissions assistance, scholarship application support, study loan facilitation, language and exam preparation, visa support, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue using our Services immediately.


2. SERVICES PROVIDED

2.1 Admissions Assistance

  • Merit Sparrow assists students in securing admission to universities by applying on their behalf based on their academic profile, preferences, and available options.
  • The final decision regarding admissions is made solely by the respective universities, subject to their criteria and deadlines.
  • We do not guarantee admission to any particular university, although we ensure admission to at least one institution.

2.2 Scholarship Assistance

  • We assist students in identifying and applying for scholarships aligned with their academic credentials.
  • The approval and disbursement of scholarships are entirely at the discretion of third-party scholarship providers.
  • Merit Sparrow does not guarantee the receipt of any scholarship or specific funding amounts.

2.3 Loan Assistance

  • We facilitate study loan assistance through our partnership with WeMakeScholars.
  • Merit Sparrow does not provide loans directly but serves as an intermediary connecting students with financial institutions.
  • Loan approvals, interest rates, repayment terms, and disbursement timelines are subject to the financial institution’s policies and discretion.

2.4 Language and Exam Preparation

  • Students receive six months of access to third-party platforms for language and exam preparation:
    • Babble+ – German language learning.
    • Magoosh – IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE preparation.
  • These platforms operate independently, and we are not responsible for their content, updates, or performance.
  • Subscription renewal beyond the six-month period is at the student’s own expense.

2.5 Visa Support

  • Merit Sparrow provides visa application guidance, document submission assistance, and AI-based visa mock interview services.
  • AI mock interviews are for practice purposes only and do not guarantee visa approval.
  • Visa approvals are subject to consular and immigration regulations beyond our control.

3. REFUND POLICY

3.1 General Refund Terms

  • Refund requests are accepted only before the admission process begins.
  • Once the admission process has commenced, no refunds shall be issued under any circumstances.

3.2 Partial Refunds

  • If a student does not secure admission to any university, a 70% refund of the amount paid will be issued.
  • Alternatively, students may opt for a free next intake application at no additional cost.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Merit Sparrow utilizes external service providers to enhance its offerings, including:

  • Babble+ – German language learning.
  • Magoosh – IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE preparation.
  • WeMakeScholars – Loan and scholarship assistance.
  • AI Visa Mock Interviews – Visa interview practice.
  • Preptical – One free IELTS mock test and 30% discount on subsequent tests.
  • Fillout – Lead collection and user experience enhancement.

Merit Sparrow does not control or influence these third-party services and disclaims any liability arising from their performance, changes, or discontinuation.

5. DATA COLLECTION AND USAGE

  • We collect and store personal data, including contact details, academic records, and service preferences, through third-party platforms, including our website and Fillout.
  • Data is used for contacting students, marketing, sales, support, and internal research, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
  • Advertising platforms may be used to generate leads, and collected data is protected by the security measures of the respective service providers.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Merit Sparrow shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • Non-approval of scholarships or loans.
  • Unsuccessful university admissions beyond the guaranteed minimum.
  • Visa rejections or application denials.
  • Delays, modifications, or failures of third-party service providers.
  • Changes in government regulations or immigration policies.

Students are encouraged to conduct independent research before making study-abroad decisions.

7. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India.
  • Any disputes or legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Telangana, India.

8. AMENDMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS

  • Merit Sparrow reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at its sole discretion.
  • Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
